Diva Diaries: Meet the Team

I’m Bianca, the blogger here at Divas & Devils. I am a senior at Florida State University studying editing, writing and media. When I’m not in class or at the boutique you can catch me at live poetry readings or painting in the park. I have a passion for all things art, whether that be crafts, photography and of course fashion. I strive to spark a fire in everyone I meet and encourage them to express and love themselves every day. Every day at the boutique is filled with different adventures. Divas & Devils House of Style is not an only a boutique but it is an experience. As a customer you are surrounded by good vibes, bold inspiration and a feeling like you’re playing dress up with your best friends. But who are the intriguing ladies behind the magic of Divas & Devils? I interviewed the team to reveal to you just how cool these women really are.

Let me introduce you to the Dulcie. In Spanish her name means ‘sweet’ but she is so much more. She is focused and has her eye on the prize. Growing up in the small town of St. Augustine, she has always dreamed of a life in Manhattan, when she’s not dreaming about her next meal. Fashion is in her blood because of her mother, born a New Yorker, known as a DVF enthusiast. She always reminded Dulcie from a young age to dress well and present herself boldly to the world. Dulcie is often seen showcasing her mother’s classis pieces while giving them new life.

I was able to steal her away from her research on Search Engine Optimization to have a chat about life with Divas & Devils. Dulcie started as an intern on the Street Team and now works as a full-time Diva Dove. Working with Divas and Devils gives her an adrenaline rush and the opportunity to be surrounded by all aspects of the industry she loves at all times. “Dressing someone and making them feel good about themselves is the most rewarding experience.” Currently the fashionista’s main focus is on the website. She assisted in redesigning the entire website and maintains its daily upkeep. Her sites are set on the grand web recognizing their unique niche. Her current Divas and Devils obsession are the new Parisian bohemian sparkling turbans. Click the graphic to shop her look.

Fun fact: Dulcie got invited on an all-expense paid trip with designer Brandon Maxwell to Paris for Market Week.

Next meet Lindsey, the bubbliest of the bunch. You may recognize her as the face of most of the photoshoots and Instagram stories. Her free spirit not only brings the photoshoots to life but her charismatic energy welcomes everyone who walks into the boutique. If you’re looking for a style guru, Lindsey is your girl. Growing up, her neighbor majored in retail merchandising at Florida State and later became a buyer in NYC. Inspired by her neighbor’s bold style and her mom’s artistic flare Lindsey always played with fabrics on her mannequin creating whimsical and confident looks. Divas and Devils has not only taught her the importance professionalism and self-expression but she now wants to own her own boutique someday.

Lindsey is driven. She has a passion for every aspect of the industry and she doesn’t want to limit herself to one positon, role or task. Her current Divas and Devils obsession is the red ruffle salsa dress. Click the graphic to shop her look.

Fun Fact: She is in the process of creating a Coffee Table Book of the Life and Legacy of Divas and Devils House of Style. Make sure you stay up to date on our Instagram story so you don’t miss it!

Next let me introduce you to Divas and Devils newest employee, our care free Katherine. Growing up the youngest of 3 sisters Kat was always up to date with the latest trends. So when she got accepted into Florida State the only major she could really picture herself enjoying was retail merchandising. Since last fall when we both started as Street Team Interns I have witnessed Kat spread her wings and transform into our delicate golden butterfly. Divas and Devils has opened her mind, inspired her and made her a much more confident Kat. During our interview she got a call from a customer who needed a dress for graduation pictures. Kat immediately Facetimed the customer showing her many different options and styles. Her sweet smile and personable character have a way of making customers feel special. Kat has an eye for pulling unique pieces and matching them with the right customer.

Divas and Devils has shown her professionalism, merchandising, the importance of the aesthetic of the store/brand, etc. Being surrounded by so much inspiration, motivation and expertise has made even her consider opening her own boutique someday. Working with the owner, Michelle, and seeing first-hand how running a boutique works has really opened her eyes to the opportunity and has given her the confidence to believe that she can achieve anything she puts her mind to. Her current Divas and Devils obsession is the new beauty section at the store featuring glitter shadows, highlighters and more. Click the graphic to shop her look. Shop the looks below.
